Footnote is a content management system (CMS) and a mobile app. Cultural institutions use our CMS to upload additional content relevant to the artifacts in their physical space. Their visitors can then download our mobile app and scan the artifacts to access and consume this additional content to learn and engage much more!

If you are a cultural institution, click the “Start Free Trial” button at the top of the page to begin your trial.

If you are a visitor to a cultural institution and want to download the app, select the “Mobile App” button at the top of the page and then select the “Download for FREE” button.

Yes! For museums, our plans include a 30-day free trial so you can get started without commitment.

Our mobile app is free for museum visitors to use.

The free trial gives you access to all the features of the plan you select and does not limit the features included.
